Pretty full stop in the making.

It's gona end in another 7hours. When the clock strikes 12, it shall be a brand new year and brand a new start. How should I conclude 2011? Till now, no plans yet! Well I guess laying in the couch watching live countdown programs isn't such a bad idea, I mean, for sure there's gona be massive-shitty-jam on the road tonight no? I definitely don't want that to ruin the lovely new year spirit~ So I guess cosy-home-countdown-with-family will most probably be the plan~ : )

cosy no? : B

To sum up 2011, I shall say it has been a great year, despite some ups and downs in between. But, as the saying goes, life isn't life without a balance between joy and sorrow~ To come to think of it, those obstacles really kinda did help me grew into a better person. It sorta taught me how to see things from a different, more optimistic perspective :) So I'm grateful for everything that happened in 2011, I really am : )

Sitting on the ridge, thinking back : )

As for 2012, pls be kind to me. I've heard A LOT about sem3, about how torturing it is and how hard it is to survivie it. I fear, honestly, but I have faith that my self-determination will get me through it. *Fingers crossed*

To end this post, let's have a toast. Cheers guys, for a better year ahead! :)

Back~ and gone again.

If this page wasn't on my bookmark list,  I probably would've forgotten about it's existence! My apologies bloggie ><'' Seeing '6 October' on the top of my blog archive made me think back, was I really that busy? *after a minute of serious recalling*

YES, I WAS~~~ kinda, sorta, I guess, perhaps ._.

ok fine, my bad, procrastinating issues again, I get it... but... it's normal wad no meh, i mean, every human, well at least most teenagers struggle with this issue wad... okok no more excuses! >:(

Was suppose to update about my lil bittersweet escape to China, but the mood faded when I saw 5.25pm sitting quietly at the corner of my screen, aging at a shocking rate without a single form of notice, and immediately thought of my unfinished assignment that has to be printed tomorrow. LIFE IS JUST GREAT WHEN YOU ARE RACING AGAINST TIME, NO? :)

nothing limits me! >:)

p/s : hang in there fellow archi classmates, few more days left and we can party like there's no tomorrow, or should I say SLEEP like there's no tomorrow? ;P

I left my soul in S-E-O-U-L

It was a quite a busy week, where submission is just about 2 weeks away, but yea, I sorta left it all behind and went to Seoul to take a break, to temporarily break free from this hectic reality and to catch a gasp of fresh air out of this polluted environment I've been living in. Not a really perfect timing for a vacation but, I certainly did not regret, cz it was way too awesome and it's no doubt a "Not-allowed-to-miss-and-feel-left-out-emo-ing-alone-after-everything's-over" trip to me~ ;)

Fou -Tou - Shooooooot

So a friend of Sze (now a friend of mine too^^) needed help in her assignment, which is to produce a series of self taken photographs and compile it into a fashion magazine. Oh, she's a designing student currently studying in Lim Kok Wing btw and her name's Yvonne, Von to be short :) Initially it was Sze and her other high school friend, who was suppose to be the model for the photoshoot. Butttt her friend had some other matters to deal with so I was asked to be the replacement model. h-a-p-p-e-e-e-e much! I was super nervous about it, me and sze were like counting down the days.

The photoshoot carried out pretty smoothly, despite the part where the nasty monkeys ate our lunch! And the part where we keep seeing creepy suspicious ham sap looking uncles around us >< And also the part where I got 50 sandfly bites all over me and not to mention sunburn == But thank God the outcome was satisfying :) It was a great experience and it was definitely FUN~ Wonder when will the next photoshoot be? x)

Like the fact that the balloons match my dress :)

me and sze *less than 3*

Glad that the sub theme was balloons. It certainly brightened up the photoshoot and made all the photos nice and colourful :)

To sum things up.

Can't believe that today's the last day of holiday! Sobs...

This holiday wasn't well spent, I gota say. Yes, a tiiiiiiiiny bit of regret indeed, I felt. But, oh well, at least I finally baked, after promising my family for sooooo long~ :B I made cranberry muffins, vanilla almond cupcakes, vanilla jam cupcakes, chocolate chip cupcakes and vanilla raisins cupcakes. Not bad for first baking attempt waddd~ x)

Also, I was diagnosed with first stage drama addiction. The condition got worst whenever a series finished. That's cz while following a series, those characters took up so much of your time that it felt as if they're already part of your life~ So when it ended, the emptiness felt will make you feel lost and very uneasy. To overcome this mind-torturing emptiness, your mind will tell you to start a new series. And this is how the addiction goes on, making you crave for more and more until one day, you find yourself never satisfied. YES PEOPLE, THIS IS HOW DANGEROUS THIS ADDICTION IS. DRAMA = DRUG. PLEASE TAKE NOTE.

After city hunter ended (quite lousily, honestly speaking ><), I felt really soul-less, and the hunger for more came attacking again. That night, it was 2am already, way past bedtime. But I was struggling so hard over the emptiness, I decided to watch another series, and I chose Kdrama <Personal Taste> where the main actor is the oh-so-hot Lee Min Ho. His charm boosted up way over maximum hotness when I found out that his character is an architect in this series. Giahhhhhhh~~ I wish to meet an architect as hot as him in the future *v* So all anticipated, I felt happy again (drama thirst fulfilled). Howeverrrrr, THANK GOD the female lead was soooooooooo awful (sorry, no offense). She was so not up to Lee Min Ho standard that she literally made me loose interest in this drama right after ep1. And the whole plot is just too predictable, no fun. So after ep1, that's it, not gona watch ep2.

Surprisingly, this was the cure for my addiction! So I came to a conclusion that my mind works this way : Whenever drama thirst strikes, I'll start a new series. If the series suck, my mind will not only reject that series, but will also loose enthusiasm towards drama. I will then feel very tired and will give up on finding another drama worth following. Thus, TADA, no more drama thirst, addiction cured~ :D

I was so emo after city hunter ended so I went and straighten my hair. Happy again :)

What I've just mentioned above might sound like exaggerated bull crap, but it's really what I went through. So do take it as a friendly reminder :) 偶像剧让你分不清现实与虚拟。This was my friend's advise. When I snapped out and regained my "consciousness", this really made sense.

Brutal

Sorry for the recent MIA, this post should have been done weeks ago but I've been 24hr drama-ing all this while, my apologies. But I got to say, City Hunter is a must watch guys! *super serious face and tone*

Hot no? xD

Back to the topic. So, BRUTAL, was the concept for my final project, where we're assigned to design a grafted personal space for a specific client at a chosen site along the very riuh-rendah Jln Petaling. (Do excuse my sudden BM usage~ My BM nerve just got stimulated for a sec back then~ heh) So after 2 days of life-risking-touring around Jln Petaling (acid splasher remember? ><) I've chosen this corner to be used as my site for my client, Mr Arnold Schwarzenegger.

big blue wall
Starring at site hardly trying to get design inspirations.

At one glance, it doesn't seem like an interesting site huh? But this is what I liked about it. The dull and boring atmosphere here, the tall and plain wall. After starring at it for, I cant remember how long, I knew that I wanted to grow something out of that wall. Yes, grow. I wanted my design to seem like a space that grew out from that wall, not just a space that is designed without having any relation to the site. So off I went to do more research, brainstorming, mind mapping and of course, sketching.

So TADA, the final product :)

My model at scale 1 : 25 :)

Presentation :)

By BRUTAL I didn't mean violence, bloody scenes or whatsoever. I meant cold, rough, which actually reflects the first impression people have towards the site and of course my client. I portrayed it in design elements such as:
- cold inhuman exterior
- simple arrangements of planes to create openings
- openings which manipulates the light and shadow to create different atmosphere in different spaces
- usage of materials in their very raw state to enhance the roughness of the design.

Here up some shots of the light and shadow in the interior x)

My presentation panels~ Note that all orthographic drawings are hand drawn~ x)

Yea BASICALLY that's about it~ I did my best summarizing it alreadyyyy~ Sorry >< Hope u guys enjoyed it still~ Till the next post~ ;) Remember to watch city hunter k? :D
